United run riot against Maverick Academy

Randfontein Manchester United FC strengthened their hold on second place with a convincing victory over Toekomsrus Maverick Academy in an entertaining seven-goal Randfontein Promotional League clash.

Randfontein Manchester United FC produced a dominant display on July 4, defeating Toekomsrus Maverick Academy 5–2 in a Randfontein Promotional League match at the Randfontein High School sports grounds.

Both teams started brightly as they searched for valuable league points, but Randfontein quickly took control through composed passing, disciplined organisation and clinical finishing.

Although Maverick Academy responded with two goals and created several promising attacking opportunities, they struggled to cope with Randfontein’s sustained pressure. The hosts capitalised on their chances to score five times in an entertaining, high-tempo contest.

Despite their resilience, defensive lapses proved costly for Maverick Academy, allowing Randfontein to extend their lead and remain firmly in control for much of the match.

The victory strengthens Randfontein Manchester United FC’s hold on second place in the Randfontein Promotional League standings. Maverick Academy remain at the foot of the table and will be aiming to bounce back in their upcoming fixtures.
