LETTER: Don’t let them into your house!

'Be very careful of two persons, a lady and man begging for clothes and food in Randfontein'.

• Anonymous pensioner writes:

I would like to ask all the people in Randfontein to be very careful of two persons, a lady and man begging for clothes and food. I believe they are in their late 40s, they are white and ask for a place to stay.

I gave them a place for one week, and the lady was a real angel working in my house cooking and cleaning everything. The man did some work in the house. The first weekend he found work.

He started on the Monday, and promised he would pay me to stay per day. He worked for a few days and on Friday he never came back. I phoned the place he worked for, and they said he did not work there anymore. His name is Mornè and hers is Judy.

She was here and we trusted her with money to go shopping. We gave her R300 on the Saturday, but she disappeared with the money and my son’s WhatsApp phone.

Please don’t let them into your house.
