The day was filled with happy smiles and tons of green and yellow colour on a sunny March 19.

Residents and families of Randfontein recently came together on a lovely sunny day for a colour fun walk at the Greenhills Stadium.

The colourful fun commenced on Saturday, March 19 with many attendees being splashed with green and yellow coloured powder.

Organiser of the event, Jan Dhlamini explained that they wanted to bring the community closer by hosting the colourful event.

“We also wanted to unite different families to reduce crime in our community of Randfontein.”

There were 5km and 10km walks within the stadium grounds and a fun aerobics session afterwards.

Jan thanked the sponsors that made the day possible: Estelle Mini Print; Arrie Nel Pharmacy; Superspar Randfontein; Langano Wholesalers and Supermarket; Amana Fuels; and Diale Funeral Parlour.

We really wanted to thank God, all our sponsors and all people who supported this event as we are aiming to do another one in future because we do it for the community, especially the youth because we want to take them out of drugs and encourage them to have a healthy lifestyle,” explained Jan.
