No April fool’s joke – Westonaria Licensing Department officially re-opens

Management of the Rand West City Local Municipality confirmed that the Westonaria Licensing Department officially re-opened after being closed for more than three years.

It is official.

While many things in Rand West City may seem somewhat dysfunctional, management of Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) announced the good news that the Westonaria Licensing Department officially re-opened on Friday April 1, 2022.

The facility had been closed since October 2018. It will now operate between 08:00 to 15:00 on Mondays to Fridays,” said Phillip Montshiwa, RWCLM spokesperson.

The Herald questioned why the facility was closed in the first place but, no answers were given.
