Several school learners were injured in an accident between a bakkie and minibus on the R41 between Krugersdorp and Randfontein on Monday afternoon, April 11.

Although Netcare 911 spokesperson Shawn Herbst could not confirm exactly how many learners were injured, he said they sustained minor injuries only. Some learners, however, had to be transported to hospital.

Arriving at the scene the Herald found the white Totoya Quantum resting on its side. The patients had already been removed from the accident scene.

The exact cause of the accident will remain the subject of an investigation by authorities.
