Meet our #1 Amapiano dancer

Meet our future Amapiano dancing lawyer.

Meet the West Rand’s very first dancer in the Amapiano genre, Lee-Andry Lee.

With so much ahead of her, the 13-year-old Hoërskool Riebeeckrand Grade 9 learner is refining one of her latest moves.

I’ve learned many of the dance styles from TikTok and YouTube videos, but I add some changes to make them unique. I love dancing to Amapiano songs – especially when you have a portable speaker, you can do it anywhere at any time,” Lee-Andry said.

Lee-Andry said she is able to express her emotions through dance – whether she’s upset, excited or happy.

Although she wants to study law one day, she also wants to become a well-known dancer so that she wouldn’t take life too seriously and make time to have fun.

“I wanna be someone who gets to enjoy both worlds; I want to be that dancing lawyer one day.”
