Four people sustained fatal injuries while 14 others were left injured following a collision between a taxi and BMW on the N12 in Westonaria close to the R28 on Wednesday evening, May 18.

According to ER24 spokesperson Ineke van Huyssteen, when ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 19:30, they found multiple patients on the scene.

Unfortunately, four people were found to have sustained fatal injuries and were declared dead at the scene by paramedics. Two others were found to have sustained serious injuries, while twelve others were found to have sustained minor injuries.

“ER24, GPG, and another medical service at the scene treated the patients before transporting them to hospital for further medical care.”

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not known to our paramedics, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
