Elderly man missing for close to two months

The police and Renegade NPO are asking the community to be on the lookout for an elderly man who has been missing for close to two months.

An elderly man from Toekomsrus, Ditlhoriso Julius Mokgosi, 60, has gone missing.

According to Renegade NPO, an organisation operating in South Africa, Mokgosi was last seen leaving his home on foot on Thursday, April 7 this year but never returned.

“He has not communicated with friends or family since he was last seen, when he was wearing a blue scotch T-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes,” said Dawn Gounden, founder of Renegade NPO.

Randfontein Police spokesperson Sergeant Carmen Hendricks confirmed that a missing persons case had been opened.

Police have been investigating it since,” added Sergeant Hendricks.
