#MandelaDay: Town’s Mrs SA semi-finalist and Ray of Hope fill tummies

Every year the Ray of Hope organisation tries to treat the community of Krugersdorp on Mandela Day and this year was no different. AND The Ray of Hope organisation along with Randfontein's own Mrs South Africa semi-finalist treated the community of Krugersdorp on Mandela Day.

Every year the team from Ray of Hope open their hearts to the community and this year was no different when they filled the community’s tummies with a cup of warm soup for Madiba Day.

On Friday, July 16 they prepared and handed out the soup with bread, as well as sweets and fruit to about 400 people from the community. Natasha Engelbrecht from the organisation explained that it was their way of giving back their 67 minutes on Mandela Day.

Apart from a few sponsors for the fruit and sweets the team themselves donated the soup and bread.

The children were also treated to a visit from Mrs South Africa semi-finalist Janine Ferreira who helped to distribute the food, and spoke to some of the children.
