Water supply warning for Rand West City due to Eikenhof station disruption
Rand Water's Eikenhof Pump Station is experiencing an electrical problem and as a result, water supply in areas across Rand West City will be affected.
Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) will be distributing water tankers to various areas across town due to an electrical problem at the Eikenhof Pump Station.
The news was confirmed by mayoral spokesperson Tshidiso Tlharipe who added City Power is busy addressing the issue.
Tlharipe further stated the municipality is working hard on distributing water tankers to the affected areas. The municipality has identified the following areas where water tankers will be distributed namely Mohlakeng Ext 04, Machineng, the USave in Toekomsrus, Four Square and the Engen service station in Toekomsrus.

Tlharipe added as the demand increases, the municipality will alternate between water tankers.
“The community will be updated once developments have been sourced from City Power and Rand Water. We apologise for this unforeseen inconvenience,” Tlharipe concluded.
