After 13 days without power, the municipality delivers long-awaited good news to residents.
The Rand West City Local Municipality has shared a highly anticipated update, estimating that the 13-day power outage will end tomorrow.
Municipal spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa stated that the municipality is actively addressing the challenges faced by the community.

He confirmed significant progress on the repairs to the two damaged transformers.
“We have successfully removed the two old transformers and have two new ones ready for installation. Currently, we are conducting tests to ensure everything is in order before restoring power,” Montshiwa said.
“We expect electricity to be fully restored tomorrow [January 29], bringing much-needed relief to the community,” he concluded.
