Power restored following weekend thunderstorm
Councillor Alwyn van Tonder has confirmed that the power has been restored.
The electricity has been successfully restored after a severe thunderstorm caused a power outage.
This is according to councillor Alwyn van Tonder who stated the electricity to all the areas supplied by the Drowel Substation has been restored.
“The outage was most likely caused by lightning which caused the Eskom side to trip. Eskom technicians, as well as the municipal electrical department, was on site this morning and after safety checks, Eskom went to switch on the electrical supply to Drowel,” Van Tonder concluded.
