Water shutdown due to maintenance

A water shutdown will commence as the municipality plans to repair a leaking pipeline.

The F33 pipeline is scheduled for repair, which will lead to a water shutdown.

Rand West City Local Municipality’s spokesperson, Phillip Montshiwa, expressed that due to a leak in the pipeline, scheduled maintenance will take place to repair and replace a valve.

He also stated this will cause a planned water shutdown that will be in effect on March 15, starting at 04:00. He further mentioned the shutdown will commence for 24 hours.

The affected areas include:

• Waterpan
• Kloof Drive-In Theatre
• Plot 4 Wagterskop
• Kloof Mine
• Libanon Property
• Glenharvie

Additional areas that may be affected if the Libanon Res 3 runs empty:

• Libanon Fire
• Libanon Fir Bypass
• Portion 6 Uitval
• Kraalkop

He concluded by stating that further updates would be given as necessary.
