Rand West task team tackles roads and parks in service push

Community members are being urged to guard public infrastructure and halt illegal dumping as local municipal teams roll out neighbourhood clean-ups.

Rand West City Local Municipality’s Rapid Response Task Team (RRT) has continued its service-delivery operations across the municipality, focusing on road repairs and grass-cutting to improve local areas.

On October 19, the team carried out road and pothole repairs along Third Street in Randfontein. The work aimed to improve road conditions and promote safer travel for motorists using the route.

The following day, the team conducted grass-cutting operations along the stretch from Mohlakeng Ext 5 to Zenzele.

The initiative formed part of ongoing efforts to maintain public spaces and create cleaner, safer and more welcoming neighbourhoods. The municipality encouraged residents to play their part in keeping their communities clean by refraining from illegal dumping and protecting roads and other municipal infrastructure from damage.

The team continues to focus on addressing service-delivery needs across Rand West, with its activities aimed at improving public spaces and maintaining municipal infrastructure.
