Three injured including child as car rolls on R500

A 19-year-old woman sustained critical injuries while a seven-year-old girl and a man were also injured in a vehicle roll-over on Friday evening.

Three people were injured when their vehicle rolled off the R500 in Carletonville on the far West Rand on Friday night, July 29.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said they and other services arrived on scene at about 19:17 to find a light motor vehicle upright on the side of the road.

“A 19-year-old woman, a seven-year-old girl and a man were found lying a few metres from the vehicle. Medics assessed the patients and found that the young woman was in critical condition while the girl and man had sustained moderate injuries.

The patients were treated quickly and rushed to nearby hospitals for urgent care.”

Meiring added local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
