For Women’s Day the women and other residents of Wings were spoiled by lots of caring individuals who donated various items and spent some time with the elderly.
Housefather at the centre, Andrè Smith said Shoprite spoiled not only the ladies but all the residents of Wings of Inspiration Elderly Care Centre.
They donated a beautiful Women’s Day cake, soup, bread and lovely blankets, and the residents really appreciated the gesture,” said Andrè.
Miss Pre-Teen Royalty Azalea Hood, Mrs Royalty Lucy Welgemoed and Izani Hood surprised the residents with mini-doughnuts that were made at the centre, and Miss Randfontein Judy van Wyk and Mrs Randfontein 2020 assisted with handing out cupcakes and danced with the residents.
“Entertainer Tinus T’Laino rocked the crow at Wings and had them dancing to tunes by Elvis Presley, Dire Straits and many more, and performed many golden oldies that everybody enjoyed.”

Andrè added that Mr Randfontein Barend Kotze, Mrs Randfontein first princess Margareth Jonker and Mrs Curve Randfontein finalist Marinda Troskie helped the ladies from Wings of Inspiration to decorate biscuits, which led to teamwork.
Thank you Anel Schade and team from Kingdom Within Ministries for spoiling our ladies with scrumptious cupcakes, and thank you to Abri and Martie Erasmus from Woord en Lig ministries for the lovely gifts,” said Andrè.
