A statement issued by West Rand District Health Services reads, “The campaign will run until February 17, 2023 and all three sub-districts on the West Rand namely Mogale City, Rand West City and Merafong City are all providing measles immunisations as per their respective schedule.

Children can also be vaccinated at any local health facility with no requirement for written consent. However, parents are sincerely urged to sign consent forms received from schools as this is required for children to be immunised within school premises.”
