An elderly woman (83) was killed after her house in Hillside went up in flames.

The tragedy unfolded at about 19:00 last Monday (July 3).

It remains unclear as to what exactly started the fire, but the woman’s son, Andrew Ball, suspects a cigarette could have possibly caused the blaze.
