SPCA in desperate need of volunteers
The RandWest SPCA chairperson has made a desperate plea for volunteers to join the organisation.
The RandWest SPCA is in dire need of committee members and volunteers.
The committee is allowed up to 10 members, however, the SPCA currently consists of three members only.
RandWest SPCA chairperson Brenda Eloff highlighted the challenges of staff shortages saying that the three members are worn out due to monthly commitments. She further explained if more members and volunteers can contribute, it would create a more efficient SPCA.
She also stated that all available volunteers are welcome to join the SPCA and assist in collecting donations as well as building relationships with shelter animals.
Eloff added that a person needs to be an animal lover to enjoy working as a volunteer. She also emphasised that a volunteer with human resources and marketing experience is preferred.
To contribute as a committee member or volunteer, write a summary containing reasons for wanting to assist the SPCA to chairman@spcarandwest.co.za. The committee will subsequently give feedback on the request.
