Car rear-ends delivery truck

A light motor vehicle crashed into the back of a delivery truck.

A crash at the intersection of Lazar Street and *Malan Street on November 11 resulted in significant damage to a vehicle involved, but fortunately no serious injuries.

The collision involved a light motor vehicle which rear-ended a delivery truck at about 10:00. Despite the front of the driver’s vehicle being smashed, he luckily escaped unharmed.

The truck driver, Seun Mathe, explained to the Randfontein Herald on the scene that he was travelling west on Lazar Street and was about to turn right onto *Malan Street when the vehicle crashed into him.

The driver of the light motor vehicle did not want to comment.

Help 24 soon arrived on the scene to assist.

*Street name has been changed accordingly. The initial article said that the crash happened at the intersection of Lazar Street and Greenhills Avenue but this was incorrect. However, Malan Street does eventually become Greenhills Avenue — Ed.
