Voices initiative gives women the chance to speak up

The Voices initiative in Randfontein touched many women after survivors told their stories.

The Mediation Network Foundation unveiled its latest initiative known as the Voices initiative in Randfontein where multiple community leaders and advocates gathered to amplify the narratives of women.

On May 11, the organisation’s new initiative was welcomed at the Bankenveld Guest House in Chancliff, Krugersdorp. At the event, various women gathered to tell their stories.

Some of the well-known guest speakers included Myrtle Grey (Mrs Africa Classic 2024), Tsholofelo Precious (Mrs Africa 2024), Sandi Mambi (Mrs Westrand Top Model 2024), Twanette de Bruin (homoeopath), Bronwyn Andrew (survivor of a satanic sacrifice) and Madelein Lourens.

More than 50 women attended the event where many of them were Randfontein residents.

The Voices’ team are Marlene du Plessis, Tsholo Mboulé and Alta du Toit.

Associate director of Voices in Randfontein, Marlene du Plessis, stated that the day exceeded their expectations and touched many women. She is delighted to say that the women know there is help and support for them.
