Help Cast Away make 15 shelter animals' Christmas a day to remember.
Cast Aways Animal Sanctuary has joined hands with Santa Cause for Paws to help make shelter animals’ Christmas more special.
Santa Cause for Paws is a registered NPC that collects gifts for shelter animals. They also assist organisations with outreach programmes in townships, feral feeders and fosters.
The company consists of volunteers who have full-time jobs but run Santa Cause for Paws in their spare time. They rely on support from the public in order to help animals across South Africa.
The company had collaborated with Cast Aways to help sponsor 15 animals at the shelter. This is according to the founder of Cast Aways, Louisa Rossouw, who mentioned that the 15 animals in need of sponsoring are all animals that were taken from the streets of Randfontein. All of these animals are vaccinated, dewormed and sterilised in preparation for their forever homes.
Nine out of the 15 animals are still in need of sponsors for the festive season. Any person can help by sponsoring an animal via Santa Cause for Paws’ Facebook page.
The 15 animals include four cats and 11 dogs.
