Friends and family rally for Freddy in ICU after crash

Friends and loved ones scramble to raise funds for Freddy after he was involved in a horrific crash.

Friends and loved ones have embarked on a major fundraising effort to pay for the medical bills of Freddy Parrott (46) who survived a horrific car crash.

The 46-year-old is currently fighting for his life in ICU having sustained serious injuries.

Freddy’s brother Quenton said he was devastated after finding out his brother was involved in a collision in the early morning of November 23. Quenton stated the ambulance took Freddy to a state hospital where he waited about eight hours for medical service.

“Even though Freddy does not have medical aid, we wanted to transfer him to a private hospital. So, we moved him ourselves,” he expressed.

According to him, Freddy was examined with damage to the face, lungs, breast area as well as legs. The injuries sustained were severe, but Freddy’s loved ones did not give up hope.

Benjamin Bloemenstein Fouché, Wiets de Beer, Ruben van Rooyen and Heinrich Burger decided to join the fundraiser.

Friends of Freddy’s decided to host a fundraiser at the intersection of Kenneth Road and Homestead Avenue.

Janneké Bierman and Zanel da Silva raise funds for Freddy.

According to Karien da Silva, they wanted to help with fundraising since Freddy is their friend.

If anyone can assist Freddy with his medical bills, contact Quenton on 071 885 0348 or 078 476 0569.
