Safe haven children treated to Christmas surprise
Local beauty queens reached out to the children of Baby G Safe Haven for Christmas and yes, even Santa made a surprise visit.
The children of Baby G Safe Haven celebrated Christmas with a day of fun and even received a surprise visit from Santa himself.
Roxanne Pautsch, Mrs Royal World International Winner 2024 and Mrs Randfontein Finalist 2024/25 along with her daughter Rachel Pautsch, who is a Miss Randfontein Pre-Teen finalist, organised the event to show the children how loved they are.
“We decided that we wanted to have a special Christmas lunch for the little ones. With the help of donations from various people we arranged gifts, Santa, a jumping castle, decorations, food and treats to make their day extra special,” said Roxanne.
She explained further that the children joined them at their home, where they could swim and play on the jumping castles before receiving a surprise visit from Santa who then handed out the gifts. The children then sat down for lunch followed by party packs and snacks.
“They were so exhausted by the time they went home, but fun was had by all. We don’t always realise how blessed we truly are to be surrounded by family and loved ones, especially this time of year, so as a token of gratitude for all we have we wanted to give back to someone in need,” she said.
She continued to thank every person involved who gave donations, sponsored the event and assisted on the day.
“I am passionate about charity, especially when it comes to animals, children and the elderly so I have done various projects for various organisations, however, this is the first event that I have arranged from end to end and I hope that I will be able to get enough sponsorship and support to arrange many more in the future.”
