Resident set to celebrate 100-year milestone

Marie Joubert, a long-time member of the community, is turning 100 and takes pride in her achievements.

Even though Marie is bedridden, she continues to smile widely while reflecting on her life. She shared that she grew up in Toekomsrus and has always had a passion for baking.

Marie married Albert on July 29, 1966. Sadly, he passed away in 2003. Although Marie did not have children of her own, she lovingly raised her nieces and nephews with all the affection she could give.

On June 11, Marie will celebrate a significant birthday.
