She was first diagnosed on September 26 last year after months of symptoms like persistent fevers, stomach pain, and leg discomfort. Despite initial misdiagnoses, further tests revealed the devastating truth. After 41 days in hospital and intense chemotherapy, Dianty went into remission in October.
Her family was hopeful, but on May 29 this year, they received the heartbreaking news that the cancer had returned. Dianty now needs to start treatment again, including immunotherapy and a bone marrow transplant.
Her mother, Dina, describes Dianty as their miracle child – a happy, fearless little girl who never let the treatment steal her joy.
Even through tears, she smiles. She is full of life, love, and bravery,” Dina said.
The family is currently raising funds to help cover the high cost of her treatment. Two fundraisers are planned: a golf day on September 30 at Krugersdorp Golf Club, and a show at Silverstar Barnyard on October 31.
To support Dianty’s journey, donations can be made via their BackaBuddy campaign here.
