A house in Christiaan Beyers Street, Westonaria, was gutted by fire on Tuesday, August 26.

West Rand Emergency Services crews remain on the scene, working to extinguish the last of the flames.

According to Randfontein Herald journalist Dominique Duvenhage, the house sustained extensive damage and was almost completely destroyed.

The Herald has requested official comment from the local fire department. Their response will be published once received.
