A celebratory outing brings decades of shared memories to the table for long-standing facility members.
Seven residents of the Connie Mulder Centre celebrated a milestone this year, marking 50 years as part of the centre’s family.
The residents, Anna-Maria van Niekerk, Susan Roberts, Allen Quantrill, Alberta Louwrens, Juanita Bastiaanse, Andries Nortje and Jean Keller, were honoured for their five decades at the centre, building friendships and creating countless memories along the way.
Taylor de Beer from the Connie Mulder Centre said the organisation felt honoured to celebrate the occasion with seven of its residents.
“We feel incredibly honoured and privileged to celebrate a very special milestone with seven of our beloved residents, who have each been part of the Connie Mulder Centre family for 50 years,” De Beer said.
Golden anniversary celebration
“It is truly something special to think about 50 years of memories, friendships, laughter and precious moments shared here at Connie Mulder Centre,” said De Beer. “We are so grateful for each one of them and for all the joy they have brought to our centre throughout the years.”
To mark the occasion, the seven residents were treated to a special outing at Spur, where they enjoyed a day filled with laughter, smiles and companionship.
According to De Beer, the residents were delighted to spend time together with friends with whom they have shared so many years and experiences.
Their excitement and happiness filled the outing, making it a memorable celebration of the friendships and bonds formed over five decades.
The centre expressed its gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate the residents and the important role they have played in its community over the years.
As the seven residents look ahead, the Connie Mulder Centre hopes to share many more years with them, creating new memories filled with friendship, happiness and laughter.
For the centre, the 50-year milestone was not only a celebration of time spent together, but also a tribute to the lasting relationships and special moments that have made the residents part of its family.
