The Socca Kidz Development Programme has given young local aspiring professional soccer players an intensive training session at the Greenhills Stadium on Saturday, 4 January.

Anton Meerkotter, founder of Coach Anton Ltd, a company that owns the development programme, said the purpose was to kick-start the new year on an active note and give non-members an opportunity to participate in the valuable coaching session.

We worked on technical aspects of the game, finishing off with a fun game. Players got to shift between different stations, focusing on different technical skills at each station,” Anton said.

He added that players practised and sharpened their soccer skills, including ball control, passing and shooting while also learning new tactics.
