Two Connies athletes excel at athletics event
At least 60 residents of Connie Mulder Centre went head to head with participants from other centres in a seven-day athletics event recently.
At least 60 residents of the Connie Mulder Centre in Wilbotsdal participated in the annual Athletics and Swimming Gala for the Disabled in Krugersdorp from 1 to 7 March.
The event was held at Alma Mater International School.
According to Fransie Hulme from the Connie Mulder Centre, two of their athletes performed really well.
“Jackie van der Merwe won the Best Male Athlete trophy for the day while Melandi Oelofse was named Best Female Swimmer.”
