Next big thing? Tshego believes he has what it takes

Tshegofatso Shoma is the next player at the Greenhills Super Tiger Football Club to introduce himself in the Meet a Super Tiger series.

Tshegofatso Shoma (13) strives to play overseas as a professional football player.

Currently playing for the Greenhills Super Tigers as a right winger, Tshegofatso dreams of participating in big leagues.

One day, while he was doing chores at home, he saw a group of children playing football in the street. When he went outside to examine and the children invited him to play along.

“That was when I started familiarising myself with the sport. So, I thought, if I play long enough, a professional might scout me and ask me to join a football club,” he explained.

He has been playing the sport since the age of six. His father motivates him, and they train together.

I want to play good football just like Messi or Ronaldo.

“I dream of going overseas and showing off my football skills. I cannot wait to learn more,” he said.’

He hopes that he can someday earn a lot of money by playing football so that he can financially support his family.

“One day, I will be better than the best. The important thing is to never give up because someday you will reach the stars,” he concluded.
