The orange Free State lived up to it name when a massive sandstorm hit the city on Thursday 16 October. Resident of Bloemfontein watched from their cars and homes as large orange dust cloud covered the area. Strong winds accompanied by dust also hit Gauteng later that day and social media was abuzz with photos and videos showing the gloomy dark weather conditions.
