Charity to benefit from park
The money generated will be used to assist charity organisations.
Charity organisations in and around Centurion will benefit from the revenue that will be generated through the play park at the Centurion Mall.
The park, which will be free to the public, will only generate cash during school holidays.
The marketing manager of the mall, Annah Moremela, said the mall’s objective was to create a welcoming environment where families could shop with their children and still enjoy great entertainment that added value to the traditional shopping experience.
She said children would be offered a variety of activities which included, jungle gyms, slides, a colouring corner, a jumping castle and much more.
“The play park also offers additional entertainment under themes during holiday periods,” said Moremela.
It is through the income from school holiday programmes that the Centurion Mall will be able to offer relief to those less fortunate such as children’s homes, pensioner’s homes and animal centres, according to Moremela.
The launch was also a fun day as children from Compass Crisis Centre were invited to the park. Their day included a Takalani Sesame show. Food parcels, as well as toys, were also donated to the centre.
Moremela said the park would host kiddies go-karts in the amphitheatre at a cost of R10 per ten minute ride, as well as other cost-free activities.
