Police snatch two drug dealers

The Garsfontein police on Monday morning snatched two alleged drug dealers in the east of Pretoria.

Police arrested two alleged drug dealers on Monday in separate incidents in the east of Pretoria, the Garsfontein police said.

Spokesperson Warrant Officer Dave Miller said a Zimbabwean man in his thirty’s was caught with eight bags of cat (each bag containing 1.5 g of the drug) in his possession.

“Police were patrolling the streets when they saw a suspicious vehicle and confronted the alleged dealer at the corner of Serene and Issie Smuts Streets in Garsfontein,”he said.

“They found the drugs worth about R 2 500 and R 27 000 in cash on the man.”

Miller said the man was a well-known dealer in the area and had previously been arrested on the same charges.

Also on Monday morning, another alleged drug dealer was snatched by the Garsfontein police.

Miller said a large amount of dagga was found on the man who was operating in the Lynnwood Ridge area.

“Both men will appear in court in the next 48 hours on charges of possession and dealing of narcotics.”
