Couple followed home and robbed
Couple followed by four armed men to their house in Doornpoort and robbed.
A married couple from the north of Pretoria were followed home from a shopping centre in Montana Park and robbed by four armed men after withdrawing money at an ATM, police said on Monday.
Police spokesperson Mirna von Benecke said the couple withdrew a large amount of money at an ATM at a local shopping centre in Montana Park on Friday.
Von Benecke could not give the name of the shopping centre.
Four armed men apparently followed the couple to their house in Doornpoort. Once the couple was home, they made their way into the house and demanded the cash. Holding the couple at gunpoint, they searched for more items to steal.
Von Benecke said the men took two laptops, the couple’s cellphones and the large sum of cash.
The four men left quickly once they had taken what they wanted.
Von Benecke said nobody had been arrested and the police investigation was continuing.
