Collision leaves two in a critical condition

Hammanskraal accident leaves two men in a critical condition.

Two people were seriously injured in a crash on the R101 near Pyramid in Hammanskraal on Thursday.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Santi Steinmann said two cars were involved in a head-on collision. Both both drivers were trapped in the wreckage and had to be freed with mechanical jaws by the Tshwane fire department.

“Paramedics found that both men were in a critical condition. They were treated on the scene and rushed to hospital. Traffic was severely affected.”

The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.
