Bull Security arrest a man who attacked and robbed two people in quick succession in Moreletapark on Wednesday.
A man attacked and robbed two people in quick succession in Moreletapark on Wednesday afternoon.
Bull Security spokesperson French Jooste said security officers responded to an emergency call made by a woman who was attacked by the man.
“At 15:00 we received an emergency call from a client in Moreletapark. She told us that she was walking with her dog when she was attacked and badly beaten by a man. We immediately deployed our response vehicles to assist her,” Jooste said.
“When the vehicles arrived, they found another man who had also been attacked by the same man. He was bleeding badly. He claimed the same man had hit him over the head with a broken bottle, cutting him deeply. He then robbed him of his cell phone and R200.”
Bull security officers Anton Welgemoed and Yanik Momsen searched for the man and found him walking in Frensch Street.
“He tried to flee, but Welgemoed and Momsen managed to corner and apprehend him. He resisted arrest and wrestled with the officers. He appeared to be on a drug-induced high,” said Jooste.
The officers alerted Netcare 911 about the injured people and called the Garsfontein police to arrest the man.
