20 arrested for various crimes

Twenty people arrested for various crimes in the Ga-Rankuwa policing cluster during the weekend.

The Ga-Rankuwa cluster police have managed to successfully arrest about 20 perpetrators over the weekend.

According to the Ga-Rankuwa cluster police spokesperson, Lieutenant Rebecca Phatlhane, the arrested culprits committed crimes from assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm, possession of suspected stolen goods, possession of drugs and drinking and driving and illegal immigrants were also arrested.

“On Friday during operation Fiela the POP police, Tshwane metro police and Gauteng traffic police arrested three men for possession of drugs and arrested eight illegal immigrants,” she said.

She said dagga worth R42 000 was confiscated from the three men.

Phatlhane said all those arrested will appear in court on Monday.
