Man killed on smallholding in Hammanskraal
Police discovered the body of a man at the murder scene in Hammanskraal.
Police confirmed it was a man and not a woman that was killed on a smallholding in the Hammanskraal area earlier today.
The man was believed to be murdered in the house of his employer, after he was held up by an armed robber.
At 12:24, a message was spread through social media about the murder on a smallholding. Apparently the owner of the smallholding had been warned by another employer on the smallholding, of an armed robber inside the house.
Police later discovered the body of the 49-year-old man in one of the rooms inside the house.
Police reports previously indicated that it was a woman who was murdered but however confirmed it was a man.
Police ask assistance from the community to help find the robber involved in the murder. According to an eyewitness, just one person fled the scene. He was last seen near the Waterfall smallholdings, on the R101.
Anyone with information relating to the case is asked to phone the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111.
