Another biker dies on Garsfontein Road

One person was killed on Thursday in yet another fatal motorbike accident on Garsfontein Road.

One person died while another was seriously injured when two motorbikes collided in Pretoria east on Thursday night, Netcare 911 said.

Spokesperson Chris Botha said this happened on the corners of Solomon Mahlangu Drive and Garsfontein Road.

He said paramedics arrived to find crumpled remains of the motorbikes and debris on the roadway.

“The two bikers were found lying on the roadway. Tragically one died at the scene due to the extensive injuries that he sustained.”

Botha said the other motorcyclist was seriously injured and treated at the scene.

“He was transported to a local hospital for the care that he required.”

Police were investigating the cause of the accident.

Last Thursday evening, a 31-year-old man died when his motorbike collided with the side of a car on Garsfontein Road.

Reality TV star Nape Phasha had allegedly hit and killed the man.
