House allegedly used for criminal activities
Resident claims criminals have a meeting house in Hermanstad, where they plan their criminal activities.
A house in Hermanstad is allegedly used as a criminal meeting spot. This is according to a resident who claims to have witnessed some of the meetings taking place.
The resident who wished to remain anonymous said criminals have a house in the area where they meet to discuss their criminal activities.
“They come from Hercules, Suiderberg, Pretoria West, Kwaggasrand, Pretoria North and Capital Park and meet at the house regularly to discuss and do their crimes,” said the resident who fears intimidation.
He said the Hercules police and its CPF know about the house.
The resident accused the so-called criminals of killing other residents’ dogs, apparently selling drugs and disturbing their peace.
“There have been about six dogs poisoned and three house robberies in our street,” he said.
Rekord has over the past weeks reported on the poisoning of dogs taking place in the Hermanstad and surrounding areas.
Hercules police spokesperson, Captain Bonginkosi Msimango confirmed police are aware of the dog poisoning that has been taking place in their policing area.
“We are however not aware of the house the resident is talking about. We are committed to assisting our community to the best of our ability and urge the resident to let the police know where exactly the house is so we can investigate the matter,” he said.
Msimango said on Tuesday night there were dogs poisoned in Pretoria Gardens, in Hermanstad and police were notified.
Police request residents with information on the house mentioned, used for criminal meetings, to call them on 012-377-4100.
