Man critical after hit-and-run accident
A hit-and-run accident left a man in a critical condition in the CBD on Saturday morning.
A man was in a critical condition after a hit and run accident in the CBD on Saturday morning, Netcare 911 said.
Spokesperson Chris Botha said this happened around 02:20 on Pretorius Street.
He said paramedics found the man with extensive injuries from the impact.
“Paramedics worked fervently to stabilise the man and after placing him on a ventilator and skilfully immobilising him on a trauma board, they transported the patient to a specialised facility for further medical care,” said Botha.
Botha said reports from the scene indicate that it was a hit-and-run accident.
“Exact detail is still speculative.”
