A Somalian man was the target of an armed robbery in Pretoria West on Friday morning.
According to police spokesperson Captain Reed Steynberg, the man was robbed just outside a bank at the Quagga Centre at 09:00
“The man had just arrived at the centre when two armed men stopped behind his vehicle in a light blue BMW 3 Series. They got out and held him at gunpoint on the ground.”
Steynberg said the man had R20 000 in cash with him that he wanted to deposit.
“The armed men robbed the man then fled in their vehicle. It is not yet confirmed, but it is suspected that the BMW had a false number plate as well,” said Steynberg.
She has urged anyone with information on the robbery to phone 10111.
