Hit-and-run lookout

Police and CPF on the lookout for hit-and-run suspect.

The hunt for a driver involved in a hit-and-run is on in Capital Park.

According to the Capital Park police sub forum head Mike Burt, the accident occurred around 10:00 on Friday night on the corner of Flowers and Paul Kruger Streets.

Burt said that one of the two cars, a red Toyota Camry fled the scene after the accident.

“The driver of the other car, an older lady, was treated on scene and later taken to hospital,” said Burt.

He added that the accident is being investigated by the Wonderboompoort police.

Police spokesperson Captain Reed Steynberg called on anyone with information on the accident to report what they know to the Wonderboompoort police on 012-335-2811.
