A man committed suicide inside his car close to Laerskool Tygerpoort in the east of Pretoria on Monday afternoon.
According to police spokesperson Captain Marissa van der Merwe, the man was found in his car outside the school.
She said that police had since taken to body to the Garsfontein mortuary.
Laerskool Tygerpoort deputy principal E. Wasserman, who declined to give his first name, said that although the suicide happened in Henry Street close to the school and in front of the principal’s house, it had nothing to do with the school.
The man’s identity has not been made public.
