NATIONAL NEWS: K9 police make massive dagga bust
Police in Carolina busted two men for transporting hundreds of kilograms of dagga.
Dagga worth about R7 million was seized in a bust in Mpumalanga in the early hours of Wednesday.
Two men were arrested, the police said in a statement.
The K9 police unit in Carolina received information about a truck carrying the dagga. It entered the country at the Oshoek border post from Swaziland and was driving on the N17 towards Johannesburg.
The police stopped and searched the truck between Carolina and the Wonderfontein Road.
No fewer than 42 compressed bags of dagga weighing 512.41kg were found.
Police said two men were arrested and would be charged for dealing in dagga.
