Centurion robbers still on the loose
Four men still at large after robbing a house in Rooihuiskraal on Thursday.
Police were on Friday still searching for four men after a house robbery in Rooihuiskraal, in Centurion.
The house robbery took place in Panorama Road just after 15:00 on Thursday. A woman was inside the house at the time but was not hurt.
“The woman did not sustain any injuries but she was traumatised,” said Christo Matthee from the local CPF.
The robbers escaped in her Mini Cooper that was loaded with several household items, a tablet and cellphones.
Vanessa Jacobs, tactical head of the security firm Orange Fox Security, said her firm received a request to be on the lookout for the car.
“We traced the cellphone and found the Mini Cooper was parked at a garage near the Samrand off-ramp,” she said.
“All the stolen goods, except for a Samsung S3 cellphone, were still inside.”
“Security footage indicates that the robbers parked it there before making a getaway in a Kia Rio.”
Police spokesperson Agnes Huma confirmed the crime and said police were investigating.
