A Nellmapius councillor accused of fraud appeared briefly in the Pretoria Regional Court on Friday.
Precious Marole will be back in court on Monday after the matter was postponed because the case docket was not immediately available.
He was supposed to have heard the formal charges against him on Friday.
Nellmapius Extension 4 resident Winnie Mashela laid fraud charges against Marole at the Silverton police station in 2012.
She accused the councillor of having thwarted her plans to start a pre-school centre in a fraudulent fashion.
He failed to help her with the approval certificates but kept on taking money from her, she contended.
Mashela claimed that she had paid Marole a total of R43 000 over a period of six months. Some of the money she paid it into Marole’s personal bank account and his business account.
Commenting on the postponement, she said: “I want to move on with my life. I hope on Monday everything will go well and justice will be done.”
