Police still hunt for restaurant robbers

Police continue hunt for restaurant robbers.

Six men are still on the run after robbing a Spur and its customers in Centurion two weeks ago.

“Police appeal to the public for any information on the whereabouts of these men,” said Olivenhoutbosch police spokesperson Constable Malefu Makena.

“Police will be happy to bring them to book.”

The men robbed the restaurant of R30 000 in cash.

“Clothes, wallets and jewellery worth R17 500 were stolen [from customers],” said Makena.

“No injuries or gunshots were reported.”

But an employee, who wanted to remain anonymous, said three people were injured during the robbery. One of them was struck with a firearm.

Anyone with information could call the police on 012-652-0083.
