Tshwane to cut working hours during festive season

The Tshwane metro has announced that its working hours will be short this festive season.

Operational times of Tshwane metro offices will be cut down on certain days this festive season, it confirmed on Tuesday.

“On Christmas and New Year’s eve, we will operate until 12:00. Our office will open at 7:30 as usual,” spokesperson Lindela Mashigo said.

From the 28 to 30 December, working hours will be until 15:15, Mashigo said.

“The emergency services and the metro police will continue to render a 24-hour service,” he said.

Mashigo said there would not be an extended after hour service at the metro pay points (cashiers) and facilities (credit control).

The following municipal pay points and customer care centres will open between 28 and 31 December to assist ratepayers with enquiries and payments:
